Marbled Clay
Marbled Abstracted Forms
When I first started working in the studio, I discovered a subtle marbling where different types of reclaimed clay met. I instantly fell in love with this effect and knew I had to make it a core part of my work. This led me to experiment with drastically different clays—from smooth white porcelain to heavily grogged earthenware—to create unique color, pattern, and texture. I continue to explore this technique today, not only with natural clay bodies but also by creating my own custom colors using mason stains and dyes.
